Tuesday the Commission on Judicial Discipline removed Clark County Family Court Judge Nicholas Del Vecchio from office after he admitted to numerous sexual improprieties, including having sex in hotels with a staff member during working hours. The ruling bars Del Vecchio from again seeking judicial office in Nevada as well.

The commission's decision put the eight-year judge in the company of Judge Halverson and three other Southern Nevada jurists removed from the bench since 1987.

District Judge John Jackson has granted a continuance motion for Shaun Earl Arender, filed by his attorneys. Arender is the man charged with the Sept. 10, 2007 rape and murder of 6-year-old Hanna Mack. Those charges came after DNA samples from his blood matched samples found at the Mack crime scene. Aug. 8 has now been selected as the date for a pre-trial hearing to hear 8 motions and to set a new trial date.

The trial was originally scheduled to begin with jury selection on Aug. 18.

The prosecution says that Christopher Vaughn killed his family out of greed. He had a 1 million dollar life insurance policy on his wife, Kimberly.

On June 14, 2007, Kimberly Vaughn and her three children, Abigayle, 12, Cassandra, 11, and Blake, 8, were shot dead in their family's SUV on an interstate 55 frontage road in Channahon Illinois. All of the children had been shot twice.

This is about a woman, Theresa Parker, who was married to a LaFayette, Georgia police sergeant, Sam Parker.Theresa and Sam were about to get a divorce, and a couple of days before they were to go to the bank and divide up some of the assets, she disappeared...and has not been found to this day. Of course Sam said he has nothing to do with it. He had given her $3,000 the day before, for her to pay off some bills, and she just took off. He claims she may be in Florida, or Mexico with the man he claims she had an affair with.
