Exclusive: Robin Tyler Speaks Out About Prop. 8
There are interviews you skim, and then there are interviews you read—all the way to the end. This week’s issue of the Advocate declaring “gay is the new black” nailed it, and Robin Tyler has an important message that will hit home at this moment in history—a moment that could be the tipping point of our movement. Robin Tyler and her wife, Diane Olson, were the first challengers to California's ban on same-sex marriage in February of 2004.

If you’re like me, it’s impossible to turn away rocky road, cobbler, and Toll House cookies, especially if they’re homemade and offered by a hunky spouse in a Santa hat. I wondered: could I be a holiday foodie while not sabotaging my fitness goals? I decided to investigate, and here’s what I found.
Avoid alcohol. “The [...]

Zen & the Art of Protesting Prop. 8
by Bronson Page
Brothers and sisters, we are off-topic, and losing style points. This is not a Marjorie Christofferson issue. It’s not an El Coyote issue. It’s a civil rights issue. We need to remember that and keep our eyes on the ball, lest we devolve further into angry mobs for whom nobody could feel compassion. [...]
Live Like Your Hair’s On Fire
Important things almost always start small. But just because they are small does not mean they’re unimportant. I’ve learned that it’s essential when starting anything new not to lose sight of the bigger picture.
Boycott of “El Coyote” is Shortsighted
The gay community is angry about the passage of Prop. 8, and we have a right to be. We have a right to demonstrate, and yes—even a right to boycott. We can bring giants down if we want to. But I submit that an El Coyote boycott isn’t the right place to put our energy right now.
Video of El Coyote Remarks, And My Follow Up Question
Here’s part 1, Marjorie’s Christofferson’s remarks:
Here’s part 2, where I ask Ms. Christofferson: “Would you be willing to make a personal donation to repeal the amendment?” Video after the jump…

Do You Have Low Testosterone?
Researchers at St. Louis University have developed some questions to screen for low levels of testosterone and growth hormone. They might be worth kicking around:
*Do you have a decrease in libido (sex drive)?
*Do you have a lack of energy?
*Do you have a decrease in strength and/or endurance?
*Have you lost height?
*Have you noticed a decreased “enjoyment [...]

Okay, so it took me three years of blogging to figure out that I’m meant to actively respond to the comments?!? Ying, in Utah, writes:
“Even from this wacko state that I live in, [...]
