The actor recently had this to say about turning 40: “It’s funny - when you get to 40 it’s like being in a club with a secret handshake! I remember my doctor telling me to enjoy my forties because I will still have my physical capabilities but also my life experiences. We should take advantage of that before the physical capabilities slip away.” He’s 44 now and I can’t really understand why he chose to unveil this intriguing mystery 4 years after discovering it. And what is it with the physical abilities: do you instantly turn cripple when you reach 50?
The memoirs of movie legend Roger Moore could be turned into a Hollywood biopic and Johnny Depp is all set to star in that movie being planned on the life of the former James Bond actor.
Johnny Depp??? Now those who are scouting to have this chap play Roger Moore should hear to what I have to say. You will have to place more actors on your books. You must know that other leading actors would not be part of a project that stars Johnny Depp.
Personally I have nothing against Johnny and he really can act, but he won’t be able to do proper justice to the demand of playing Roger Moore. May be he should not take up the role him self.
No doubt he played the role of a pirate really well, and there will be other good movies not connected to being a pirate no doubt, but don’t get carried away. There are other talented actors in Hollywood who would really do the job much better. We do not need a debonair to play Roger Moore although that could be a pre-requisite for some fans.
The actress recently stated that, if a natural disaster struck, she would save her worms first of all: “I would save my critters, seeds, eggs, medicinal spores and worms.” I’d tell her to worry about herself, unless it’s a nuclear-related incident, the worms have a much better shot at surviving than she does. She is a very active defender of the environment and also had this to say about the word green: “I can’t stand the word ‘green.’ It seems that it’s become a pedantic, smug, judgmental word that is unrelated to the rest of one’s life and is being so overused as a marketing tool that it has no credibility.” Strange, one could say the same about protecting the environment… in fact, a classic stand-up comedian already did mention some very true words about it: “We’re so self-important: everybody’s gonna’ save something now. Save the bees, save the trees! Save the whales, save those snails!”
Thanksgiving is really a special day and what better way to celebrate by helping those who are less fortunate than the others. Well that’s exactly what famous celebrities Jennifer Love and former super model Cindy Crawford were out doing on Thanksgiving Day.
The two were seen attending the Kirk Douglas’ annual Thanksgiving Meal for the Homeless on Wednesday and were very forth coming in lending a helping hand.
The event took place at The Los Angeles Mission, where the two lovely ladies were a part of the guest list that joined the 91-year-old Douglas in serving up Thanksgiving dinners to the homeless. This is the best part that I really appreciate about our celebrities that on such occasions they are present in strong numbers for such causes.
Hope that some day soon there would be smaller number of people who would be less fortunate than the others overall.
Reports keep coming up that Mariah Carey is pregnant with boy toy Nick Cannon’s swimmers. The diva was recently spotted during a trip to Mexico relaxing outside of her hotel room and was shockingly almost fully covered up. Mind you, they were at a beach where she had no reason to be covered up. Interestingly enough, while Nick was ordering loads of tropical frozen drinks, Mariah had no alcoholic beverages in hand. If she is pregnant, I pity Nick. She’s going to be so much more of a diva than she is right now. I wonder what they’re going to name the baby.
After all the hustle and bustle of a laborious birth, Ashlee Simpson finally gave birth last Tuesday to the latest addition to the
Simpson-Wetz household baby Bronx! The 7-pound baby boy is the newest apple of the eye not only of Ashlee Simpson and Pete but also of new aunt Jessica.
Jessica, who was so excited about the baby, admitted she is overjoyed seeing her sister’s precious little boy who according to her is the most precious and adorable ever. Their little bundle of joy has been named Bronx Mowgli, obviously after a borough and a Disney animated film character.
It looks like we’ve all been fooled in hopes to just get some ratings up. Recently fired Danity Kane whore Aubrey O’Day was seen walking into the Victoria’s Secret fashion show at the newly refurbished Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach with none other than her so-called former boss Diddy. The two were seen laughing together and at one point were even hugging. What happened to firing her because he doesn’t like her attitude anymore? I guess her firing was just a TV stunt. I’m starting to expect an announcement that she will be back in the group sooner or later.

David Duchovny is reportedly dropping the lawsuit he filed last month against the people from the UK’s Daily Mail.
We can all remember how pissed David was when he found out that the paper reported that he cheated on wife Tea Leoni with a tennis instructor named Edit Pakay.
The ‘former’ sex addict alleged defamation, invasion of privacy. David wanted $1 million in damages from the Mail.
Well, according to reports he has dropped “with prejudice,” meaning it cannot be brought back again.
When asked for a comment, David’s lawyer was not available for comment on why his client was no longer pursuing the case.
Wanna know my theory? I say the Mail must have had some gooood evidence to support their case!
Why didn’t they share it with all of us?
Well ‘Die Hard’ series star Bruce Wills has made an interesting admission about himself and Hollywood. Bruce has said that he completely wishes that his daughter Rumer does not become a Hollywood actress because it is “full of people like” him.
Bruce is the father of three children with Demi Moore and is suspicious of many people like him in Hollywood but also has complete faith in his daughter’s abilities to stay firm and take care of her self well.
In his own words Bruce said: “I worry about her being in show business. It is full of people like me. But she has turned out so well. We did not push her into acting. She just sat me and Demi down and said, ‘Look, I know you both think you’re big shots but I don’t want any help. I want to do this by myself.’ She went out there and did it by herself and I am sure she can look after herself.”
Tell you the truth guys, Hollywood is a place for insane people, its murkier than it looks and scandals and breakup and hookups are just hurdled at the speed of an F1 car. Staying afloat is hard and drowning is way too tempting.
Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood has pretty much made it clear that he has put an end to his acting career and that Gran Torin, in which he has acted and directly as well is his last appearance as an actor. His career as an actor has spanned for a period of more than 50 long years.While speaking to a British newspaper he said, “That will probably do it for me as far as acting is concerned. You always want to quit while you are ahead. You don’t want to be like a fighter who stays too long in the ring until you’re not performing at your best.”
At the same time he has no plans to stop his passion for directing movies and says “I’ve got no plans to stop making films.” Eastwood has made movies such as Unforgiven & Million Dollar Baby and has received Academy Awards for both of them.

In a recent interview about her upcoming documentary, Britney Spears had a few things to say about her past: “I used to be a cool chick but I feel like the paparazzi has taken that away from me, like, the way I used to live my life. I used to be a cool chick but I’m not anymore.” Of course she was… and I’m sure that everybody believes her. She is to sing at the American Music Awards on Sunday at Los Angeles and the show’s host, Jimmy Kimmel, says there is a surprise in store for her, but not even he knows what it is. He said: “Apparently, there is some big surprise. I sent the producer an email yesterday and he was like, I can’t tell you.” I wonder what the paparazzi are planning for her this time.
I really think there should be a law against homophobia. I mean seriously, we’re supposed to be moving forward because it’s the 21st century and yet we’re moving backwards. There are more pressing issues than homosexuality!

Yesterday, New Kids On The Block-er Donnie Whalberg raised some eyebrows with a quote he gave about boy bands and closeted NKOTB member Jonathan Knight.
In a newspaper interview, Donnie said that, “You could look at a group like ‘NSync and go, ‘Oh my gosh, Lance Bass is the Jon Knight, Justin Timberlake is the Joe McIntyre, JC Chasez is the Jordan Knight’–you could go right down the line.
But now Donnie feels he has to defend what he said. He wanted to make it clear that he didn’t mean to ‘out’ Knight.
Too late buddy! You just did!
Donnie claims that comparing Jon to Lance Bass wasn’t a comparison to his homosexuality. Although a lot of people already know of Knight’s gayness and even know that he has a boyfriend.
He later then apologized for making the comment. But really why should he?
But why won’t Jon just come out?
It’s not like it’s going to hurt his career. Look at Lance, he finally did and it didn’t hurt his career. It actually helped it!
The one person that Alec Baldwin thinks has all the best of life is Tom Hanks. Both Alec & Tom are Oscar winners and greater actors as well but Alec looks up to Tom Hanks – because “he’s got it all”.
Actor Alec has accessed Tom Hanks life from different angles and find that Tom should be the most satisfied of all the actors that he has known during his lifetime and to an extent Alec even envy’s his colleague’s talent and continued popularity. He tells Access Hollywood, “There’s only one person I know who is enormously successful and he still has all this talent, he still has a sense of humor and he still has his wife.”
Alec says “and he still has a wife” that’s a rarity these days and very few people manage to remain in a long lasting relationship for long periods of time. I think that’s something that the whole of Hollywood would envy. Hanks has been married to Rita Wilson who is an actress and producer for the last twenty years which is a hell of a long time as per Hollywood standards.

Talented actress Meryl Streep has jumped from the lighthearted musical “Mama Mia!” to the more serious moral drama “Doubt”. Her fans might feel strange seeing a sudden change from her wanton and devil-may-care attitude in Mama Mia to an authoritative and moral-conscious nun in her new movie.
Meryl Streep, who plays Sister Aloysius Beauvier in Doubt, said she had fun doing the movie and admitted that wearing the “habit” (the traditional nun garb) can be a habit! Streep co-stars with Amy Adams and the latter also got to wear the habit in the movie. What is good about the habit, Adams said, is that she did not have to suck in.
The Oscar-winning actress’ new movie had a special red carpet screening in Beverly Hills. The story focuses on a lot of moral and immoral things including the abuse of a black student by a priest. Setting aside any Oscars aspiration, director John Patrick Shanley said they did the movie because it meant something to them.
Doubt focuses on the stringent rules of a Bronx Catholic school and the struggle of its principal (Sister Aloysius) to keep it closely guarded.
Another Oscar-winning and bankable actress has declared her plans to retire from her acting career in the near future in favor of family life. Nicole Kidman’s admission that she may just opt to retire and take care of her children came weeks after Angelina Jolie declared she is contemplating on doing fewer movies and ultimately fading away from the industry in favor of family life.
The 41-year old Kidman is in the middle of a family bliss thanks to her two-year old marriage to country singer Keith Urban. The birth of her first biological child in July plus Kidman’s desire to have more children in the future are also contributory factors to her retirement plans. She also has two other children who were adopted during her previous to Tom Cruise.
In the meantime, Kidman’s new movie “Australia” will be shown in theaters by December this year. Aside from Kidman, the Baz Luhmann epic movie also stars Hugh Jackman, David Gulpilil, Brandon Walters and David Wenham. “Australia” recently had a world premiere which left thousands of fans shrieking and Sydney’s streets closed to traffic. The 135-meter long red carpet for the stars of the movie is an indication that Kidman’s star has never waned.
