hayabusa mma gloves 24
Wow, I really like the Hayabusa MMA gloves. They have many features that are important to MMA fighters. Although I have never actually seen them used in competition, they are great training gloves.

One of the things I really like about them is their longer than normal wrist support. I'm not talking about the wrap, but the length of the wrist support itself. If you compare to normal gloves, you'll notice they are about a good inch longer in overall length. This, combined with a double overlapping wrist wrap, make for more wrist spoort than the average glove.

The Velcro straps are anoter thing that set these gloves apart. I have not seen this before and Hayabusa may have a patent pending on this design. There is a strap that allows you to make an initial adjustment around the wrist and also another velcro strap that allows you to make another tightening. If you like to adjust your wrist support, this is a great feature.

The shape of the padding is important too. Some gloves are just a big pad. No contour of a hand was considered. When you hear the term "Hand Fatique" this is what they are talking about. When your hand has to fight against the padding to keep a clenched fist. This constant hand contraction wears out a person's hand muscles. Next time you are looking at gloves, if you hold them sideways, you will see any curves.

The padding itself is impotant too. Some gloves are made for specific purposes like, bag work. Protecting the skin of the hands is the goal of bag gloves when they skim accross the padd surface. Bag gloves were built with the knowledge that they would be hitting padding. Sparring gloves, one's that actually hit another person should have extra padding, like boxing gloves. Competition gloves are all about unloading on an opponent and protecting your hands from getting busted up on someone's head or face bones.

Leather of vinyl...A lot of people complain about vinyl gloves. They don't last; they're cheap looking; they irritate the skin around fingers; the list goes on. If you go for the cheaper priced gear- you get what you pay for. It's usually about a $10 difference in price for leather, may as well spend the extra cash and avoid all of the nonsense.

MMA Gloves Review15
When it comes to the different typles of MMA gloves, the choices are not too wide and the feature are not too great either.

Padding can either be for sparring, bag work of competition

Sparring gloves have lots of padding. They usually have finger loops that keep the fingers free so you can grab while you're on the ground. You might think the extra padding is to protect your hands- wrong. To protect your sparring partner...

Bag gloves are pretty much designed so you don't chew your hand up as they skip accross the face of the striking bag- It's more of a friction burn. Training gloves normally have a much longer wrist wrap that helps support the wrist during bag work. The surface of the bags are usually padded so you don't need as much glove padding. You don't need it.

Competiton gloves usualy have to meet some minimum standards. The paddin alone need to weight 4-5 ounces. The back of the hands, knuckles usually are padded. The various fighting leagues have their own standards and their gloves are the only ones you can use.

Appearance

The way a gloves looks is probably one of th most important parts of the shopping experience. As a retailer, I've found that the coolness factor means a lot. Although the good old basic black glove with a decent logo printed on it, the gloves with wild graphics printed on them sell pretty good too.

Leather or Vinyl

I personally like the leather gloves. You can't compare the feel of real leather to the cheap vinyl gloves. Vinyl gloves I have found the the edges irritate the shin of t fingers and also cracks with use. They just can't compare to tough hide. On your next mma gloves purchase, keep these 3 things in mind. What kind of training are you going to be doing? Sparring, training or competition. How important is the appearance? And finally, spend a couple of extra bucks. The cow hide will be much better on your hands and also last a whole lot longer.
