hair salon question
I'm looking for a somewhat funky/freaky hair salon or hairdresser. I'm wanting to get my hair dyed not an overly outrageous color, but a sort of burgundy/plum color and see if they can possibly figure out more of a modern haircut for me. I like the lady I've gone to for years, but... yeah. I need a place that is more alternative.
Does anything like that exist here yet? I would also like to not spend a fortune, please.

New Mexico: The Next Generation Meeting Saturday, November 14
I am pleased to announce the next meeting of NM:TNG Saturday November 14th at Copper Canyon from 1-3 pm. Craig Dill, Mr. Rio Grande Leather 2009 will be joining us to talk about fisting. As always we will be in the back room. From 1-2 pm we will be having social and eating time and Craig's talk will be from 2-3 pm.
This event is only open to NM:TNG members, those in the 18-35 year old age range, and their partners.

My friend's band from las cruces wants to play a show in ABQ, at someone's house preferably. They are rock n roll-ish stuff, just take a listen. Quickies and Cream Sunday!
NM:TNG Presents Quickies and Cream!
Greetings everyone! Time for NM:TNG to host the only alternative (Kink/Leather/Fetish/Pagan and everything else) speed meeting event Quickies and Cream. This bi-annual event will be this Sunday, October 11, 2009 from 5pm to 8pm at the Blackbird Buvette in Downtown Albuquerque on the patio (which will be heated if the weather is chilly).
The Blackbird Buvette is located at 509 Central, Albuquerque, NM 87102 (505) 243-0878.
Coffee will be provided and you can purchase other drinks at the bar. Be sure you have your ID! (21+)
Cover is only $5.00 so come out and meet someone new, and have some great conversations with people you might have already meet. We love hosting this in October, so you can break a lot of ice before Rio Grande Leather! You never know, you may meet someone to date/play with/or just have fun with. This is a low pressure way to meet new people…it's about 5 min with each person. So come out and have some fun with NM: TNG. See you there.

Following a flurry of awesome artist albums, Digital Vomit is back with a compilation featuring DV artists old and new. Aaaaargh! (note 5 A's in the title) is all about the beats per minute, with every track being 220 bpm or above. Obviously this means there's some seriously hardcore gabbacore-noisecore-mashcore-breakcore in there, but due to DV artists' belligerent ability to take any brief and bend the rules to breaking point, there's also a generous handful of tracks more focused on intelligent structure and melody rather than just extremism, and even a dash of calming ambient, serving as a breather between the speaker-rattling nosebleeding pain-joy.

Fun costume character event in Abq, NM needs performers!
Do you have promotional experience? Do you love being a brand ambassador? Do you have costume character experience or are willing to try it out? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we would love to have you on board for an upcoming fun promotion for a popular cereal brand.
Promo Staffing and Talent are seeking to fill the roles of character performer and also brand ambassador/guide for a day long promotion.
As the character performer you will be wearing the suit while taking photos with kids, shake hands, hug, and wave to people. They MUST BE outgoing, friendly, reliable and able to have fun in a costume. We are NEED fun, friendly, outgoing individuals interested in being a promotion brand ambassador or costume character performer for a character meet and greet.
We are also looking for a brand ambassador to act as a guide to act as a brand ambassador and help the costumer with putting on & taking off the costume and you will help guide the character at the event. The guide will also be responsible for interacting with the public, so excellent people skills and a very friendly personality is required!
Have you ever wanted to be or work with costume characters? Are you outgoing, friendly, and fun?? Then come be a part of a fun promotion!
