Cleaning Up the Poop...

BIRDFEEDERS

I bought a *bird feeder**. I hung*
it on my back porch and filled
it with seed. What a beauty of
a bird feeder it is, as I filled it
lovingly with seed. Within a
week we had hundreds of birds
taking advantage of the
continuous flow of free and
easily accessible food.

But then the birds started
building nests in the boards
of the patio, above the table,
and next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop. It was
everywhere: on the patio tile,
the chairs, the table ...
everywhere!

Then some of the birds
turned mean. They would
dive bomb me and try to
peck me even though I had
fed them out of my own
pocket.

And others birds were
boisterous and loud.. They
sat on the feeder and
squawked and screamed at
all hours of the day and night
and demanded that I fill it
when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even
sit on my own back porch
anymore. So I took down the
bird feeder and in three days
the birds were gone.. I cleaned
up their mess and took down
the many nests they had built
all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like
it used to be.... quiet, serene
and no one demanding their
rights to a free meal.

Now let's see.
Our government gives out
free food, subsidized housing,
free medical care, and free
education and allows anyone
born here to be an automatic
citizen.

Then the illegals came by the
tens of thousands. Suddenly
our taxes went up to pay for
free services; small apartments
are housing 5 families; you
have to wait 6 hours to be seen
by an emergency room doctor;
your child's 2nd grade class is
behind other schools because
over half the class doesn't speak
English.

Corn Flakes now come in a
bilingual box; I have to
'press one' to hear my bank
talk to me in English, and
people waving flags other
than 'Old Glory' are
squawking and screaming
in the streets, demanding
more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe
it's time for the government
to take down the bird feeder.
If you agree, pass it on; if not,
continue cleaning up the poop!

More Conditions of the Big3 Bailout

1) They must use some of the 25 B to bring back the EV-1 Electric Vehicle, and

2) They must create new electric vehicles.

3) They must improve hybrid technology to compete successfuly with Toyota and Honda.

4) They must streamline production to compete overall with foreign car companies.

If they don't do all of the above, the 25B bailout will be a waste of taxpayer money.

I'm a Republican and not Proud of it!
I dig around, don't start no wars, don't come from an oil state with geothermal on my ranch, but I'd be ashamed if I did as much as President Bush. Get your head out and your butt in gear! Don't just give the next guy pointers. Pres you could still help the people, who in turn could bail out the big three and the banks. Loan us money at low interest so we can pay for our homes that are not worth what we paid for them. All other Presidents worked hard towards the end of their terms, some just to pardon people, but somthing is better than nothing!

The Brown Cloud over Phoenix
The Arizona Republic reported early this week that there was a brown cloud hanging over Phoenix. I had to see it for myself. I hiked the trail at the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, approximately 9 miles north of Down town Phoenix. I can't say that the cloud was brown, but it certainly wasn't pretty.

Big Three Bail Out Simply Put

No Jobs. No Money. No Loans. No New Cars.
Sad but true, any money the government might give the Big Three,it isn't going to change one thing! Washington, stop the insanity!!!!
If the American people can keep the house they are living in and the car they already have, they will be doing good.

Where does it end?

While I believe that we need an auto industry in the U.S. I am perplexed at why the Auto Executives that flew in to tesify arrived in such an extravagant fashion. They want to be bailed out yet they spend thousands of dollars on the flight when they could have easily flown coach on any domestic airline for a much cheaper price.
Speaking of which, if I were the airline industry at the moment, I would be incredibly pissed. We saw practically every major U.S. carrier file for bankruptcy, restructure, renegotiate with unions, cut costs and they were able to make themselves profitable and self sufficient again. Why can't the auto industry do the same thing? And why are they asking for the bailout now? Just because they see money being handed out to financial institutions?
I realize that we could move from a recession (and yes we are in one regardless of the fact that our government does not want to say the word) to a depression if the auto industry collapses and I understand that many people will be out of work but at what point do we stop bailing out every business or industry? I own a small business myself and have received NO new tax credits, NO bailout money to help my business thrive and I am feeling the pain as much as anyone else is with the challenging economy.
What is the U.S. doing to help the average American living pay check to pay check or even worse those that are currently unemployed? The economic stimulus package did nothing to help any of us. Practically everyone I know used the money to pay down their already outstanding debt and did not use it to invest it into new purchases.
I really feel for the auto industry employees but while your companies continued to build gas guzzling cars and have done very little in the big scheme of things to build "greener" and more efficient cars, everyone was happy to take home big paychecks and big bonuses. Perhaps the auto executives could give back their bonuses from the last 5 years as a show of good faith about how serious they are about wanting the industry to survive. I like to see people"lead by example" so here's your chance auto executives receiving ridiculous amounts of money as bonuses each year.
I say NO to bailing out the auto industry. You created this mess and you are responsible for fixing it just as I am responsible and accountable for the business decisions I make!
