Yay!!!  We finally finished the new master suite addition.  All that's left to do is put in the closet organizers.  I love it.

New Halloween pics!!  Cameron was a bowhunter, Amber was a fairy.  Lots and lots of candy!!!

Ok, so I've been really awful about updating anything but pictures all summer......I know, I know.  So, summer's over, I'm back to work, the kids go back to school in 2 days.....back to the routine.  I'm not sure, I think that's a good thing.  We've had a great summer, I'm gonna miss it.  So many great camping trips, and 2 months off with the kids.  Beats the heck out of the months before it.  But, the kids are excited for school, and my first week back at work was good.  I think they even missed me.....crazy buggers.  The addition is still going, slowly but surely....if we'd quit taking off every other weekend, it would help, but its pretty fun.  I just got back from my ex-in-laws place, the kids spent a few days there.  I saw Mom and Dad today, when they came in to WL to pick up Auntie Eva from Calgary.  Lee is gone until Sunday  :(  on an elk hunting trip to the Kootenays.  I miss him.  Come on Sunday!  Oh, and last but definately not least, happy birthday Becky!!!!  Love you like crazy.  Off to bed now.  I'll try to be more consistent on the whole blogging thing, i promise.  (wink, wink)

We just got back from a long weekend down in Bella Coola.  Seeing the sights, visiting, and fishing for pinks.  I took tons of pictures.....Clayton Falls, the petroglyphs (so cool), and just hanging out down at the river fishing.  Enjoy.

Okay, so we're back again.  We were out at the ranch for a week, ranch-sitting for Mom and Dad while they took a little vacation road trip with the camper.  Lee and Kait were there for the first 3 days, but then had to come back to town for work.  So, then it was just me and the little ones.  We had a great time.  The first day, we did some fishing and I showed them around the ranch on the ATVs.  The next day, we went up to the lodge and showed them around there.  Also, to Chilko.  The boat landing and the waterfalls.  Like I said, a lot of fun.  The kids spent a lot of time feeding the horses and such.  Those horses are such big babies.  They crave attention.  But, now, vacation over.  Back to town.  We're still working on the house, but we're almost ready for drywall!!  Yay!!  :)  Lee's off for the next 2 days, so we'll try to get some more work done.  Well, I'm off to clean up the house a bit.  We have company coming for dinner.  mmmmm......barbeque.   I love summer.

So, busy as always around here.  Today is the kids' last day of school.  So, off we go camping again tomorrow!  We figure we deserve a break after all the work on the addition and moving Lee and Kait out of their place.  We're sorta exhausted.  :)  In a good way.  So, today the kids are going swimming with their classes and cleaning out the desks, and I'm loading up the travel trailer for the long weekend.  Lee's at work until 2:30, then we're gonna do a little running around and pick up the last few things for the camp out.  I thought I had it done, but just realized I forgot to buy lettuce for the burgers.  There's always one thing you forget at the grocery store, I don't know why.  It would probably help if I made a list, but knowing, me I'd just forget it at home anyway.  :)  So, after the weekend, I'll get back on here and add some pictures and stuff.  K?  K.

 

 

We just got back from a really great camping trip.....Abbott Creek on Quesnel Lake.  A bunch of us went out.......Derek, Wendy, Adam, Richard, Leif, Derek, Juanita, Austin, Talon, and all 5 of us.  Everyone else had to leave on Sunday, but we stayed for an extra night and came home Monday.  One day of visiting with friends, one day of just the 5 of us.  No one else in the campground, seriously, only the bunch of us for the entire weekend.  Crazy.  We had a great time, and got to test out the new camping trailer.  Perfect.  Just what we wanted.  So now we move on to building the addition.....we had the ground levelled today.....just the building left to do.....just....lol.  So far so good.  We're doing great.  Happy as can be.  Talk to you all soon.

Pictures from the May long weekend are over to the right.......we went to Sheridan again.  I can't take credit for the pics, though, my lovely cousin Crista took them.  Mom and Dad headed down Saturday afternoon with my kids, closely followed a couple of hours later by Lee and I, and met up with the Thor family......Gil, Marie, Crista, Eric, Spencer, Karen, Clayton, Sara, and Lenny.  The weather was a little iffy, but we had a great time.  As always.  We're heading out camping again this weekend, with the new travel trailer this time.  All 5 of us, plus some friends along as well.  The deck is all ripped off the house, we're almost ready to start building the addition.....I'll try to take some pictures through the progression.

Hello everyone

 

Man, we're busy lately.  On the upside, I have cut back on my hours at work.  No more babysitters, I only work during school now.  It's so much better.  The kids like it SO much more.  Less stress......less money too, but less stress, trying to find sitters every week.  The other major news is that we've decided to build on to the house.  We are putting on a new master bedroom, bathroom, walk in closet so that Lee and Kaitlin can move in with us.  It makes us all really happy, we can't wait until we're finished.  Today was mostly spent cleaning out the shed and mowing and weed eating.  This yard is so beautiful when its all trimmed and taken care of.  I have to admit, I'm not that good at doing it on my own, but Lee was mowing and Kait and I were weed-whacking, so it went pretty fast.  Now, I just need to do some serious flower shopping so we have some color.

We had so much fun.  It was great to see Beck and Scott and the gorgeous baby again.  We all fit in the apartment, just barely, but I wouldn't want it any other way.  Can't believe its been so long.....last time i saw them, i was in London and Seth was 6 weeks old!  Great week.  I love them all, and we also got a chance to catch up with my cousin Crista and Lee's sister and nephews (Mandy, Christopher, and James).  Science World, Vancouver Aquarium, Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, IKEA, Metrotown, Pacific Center, IMAX, lots of great food and wine.  Meetings and conversations. 

 

Now, back to work and school and all the regular grind.  Oh well.....can't vacation all the time.

Hi there

 

Ugh.....tuesdays....the beginning of the work week for me. 

 

So, this week is pretty much filled with getting the kids valentines organized for their classes and doing everything that needs to be done for Amber's birthday party on sunday.  6.....the baby girl is 6.  Holy.  So, I work through Saturday, then have almost a dozen little kids here at 1 o'clock on Sunday afternoon for Amber's big day.  She's pumped.  I'm tired just thinking about it.  On the other hand, it makes her so happy to be having a birthday party that its worth anything.  I'm breaking down and being a bad mommy and buying a birthday cake....there's just no way I'm gonna get a fabulous cake made this week.  She doesn't mind, really.....i told her i'd get a really good one.  Honestly, she's 6.....she wants friends and presents.....that i can do.  Kids are excited for tomorrow, valentines day....any school day that involves tons of candy is a good day.  Plus, there's a dance at lunch, so they get something new and fun to do. 

 

I'm ready for spring.....no more winter....snow....cold.....  Can anyone make that come about any faster???  I NEED SOME SUNSHINE, PEOPLE!!
